In 1997, I founded Peachstate Historical Consulting, Inc., which is a firm that consults, deals, and appraises the finest artifacts of the pioneer American space program. As the company’s president, founder, and owner, I have worked closely on an on-going basis with many of the pioneer Apollo astronauts for the last thirteen years. I also work with a number of national museum and space centers, including the Kennedy Space Center and the "Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center".
Recently, I was honored to arrange the donation of flown lunar artifacts to Kennesaw State University in Atlanta. In total, the artifacts were worth over $440,000.00, and came from from the personal space collection of Charles M. Duke, Jr., the tenth man to walk on the Moon during Apollo 16. Included among the donated artifacts is a complete checklist that was used on the Moon during the Apollo 16 mission, as well as a navigational map that was used by Duke aboard the Lunar Rover as they drove around the moon. Rounding out the donation was a set of flags flown to the Moon on Apollo 16.
My most recent astronaut commission was to catalog and appraise the personal space collection of Eugene A. Cernan, who was the last man to walk on the Moon during Apollo 17.
An important part of Peachstate's activities consists of arranging donations of space artifacts to museums, libraries, and other venues where the general public can enjoy them firsthand.
